HIFU FAQ

Is HIFU Painful

Most clients describe HIFU as a warm, tingling or prickling sensation as energy is delivered to the deeper layers of the skin.

Some areas, particularly along the jawline, can feel more intense for brief moments. Discomfort levels vary depending on individual sensitivity.

We adjust energy levels appropriately and prioritise comfort throughout your treatment.

Is there Downtime?

HIFU is considered a non-surgical treatment with minimal downtime.

You may experience temporary redness, mild swelling or tenderness in treated areas, which typically settles within a few hours to a few days.

Most clients return to normal activities immediately.

Individual responses vary.

Some clients may experience bruising or muscle tenderness the week following treatment.

How Long Do Results Last?

Collagen stimulation develops gradually over 8–16 weeks following each treatment.

With a structured program, results can continue to improve over several months as new collagen forms.

Longevity varies depending on age, skin quality, lifestyle factors and natural ageing processes. The treatment result itself is permanent however it will not prevent further ageing with time because of this a Single Maintenance Treatment is recommended every 18-24 months.

Individual results vary.

Am I suitable?

This program is designed for clients experiencing early to moderate skin laxity through the lower face and neck.

It is ideal for those seeking progressive structural tightening without surgery and who are committed to a structured treatment plan.

Suitability is determined during an in-clinic consultation, where we assess skin condition, medical history and treatment goals.

**Please note that some medical conditions are a contraindication for a HIFU treatment**

Can this replace surgery?

HIFU is a non-surgical collagen stimulation treatment and does not replicate the results of surgical procedures.

It is designed for individuals seeking gradual tightening and lifting without invasive intervention.

Clients with advanced skin laxity may require alternative or surgical options. This will be discussed during consultation to ensure appropriate treatment planning.

How Long Before I will start to see results?
  • There will be some very subtle lifting visible immediately after the treatment
  • More visible results will be seen from weeks 12-16 after each treatment
How Long Will My HIFU & LED Treatment Sessions Take?

Japanese Head Spa FAQ

Can I have a Japanese Head Spa Treatment If I have hair extensions?

Unfortunately we cannot carry out a head spa on anyone with hair extensions due to the nature of the scalp scrub & massage, as well as lots of combing of the hair during the treatment.
